First I want to say WOW!!! - your first three weeks have been very full and from the sounds of it very wonderful. And then I want to say that I have never "blogged" before so I'm not even sure I have set up an account properly. So before I write too much, I'm going to post this and see what happens.
How cool is that - there's my comment! I'm so excited for you! I have talked with some friends about you this summer because you have been such an inspiration to me. I can see that although you will not be physically present here you will continue to inspire me. I loved what you shared so far and look forward to reading about more of your humbling and life-changing experiences. You are one of those rare someones who comes into someones (my) life and everything (I know) about you calls me to a higher place, to a higher calling in every area of my life. I'm a better person because I have known you. Jesus Christ shines radiantly through you. And I am grateful. I pray that God will continue to allow our paths to cross in the years ahead. In the meantime, be assured of my prayers, as I count on yours especially with the new school year starting. I don't know what to expect... Peace be with you. Maria
Maria Thank You So Much!!! I'm glad you are enjoying the blog and its been a blast writing my entries and taking lots of pictures! I think of you and the kids often! I hope the start to your school year is wonderful! School starts Septmeber 7th here and i am very anxious for its arrival. It looks as though i will be doing a lot of reading and literacy work which im very excited about! I just finished a book called The Shack and i highly recoommend it to you! I also started Let Me Hear Your Voice and absolutely love it! Sorry this is so short but i have to go get ready for a summer camp we are working this week! Cant wait to hear from you again! I hope you have a great rest of your summer!
Hey Sarah, I read The Shack in February and loved it!! I wanted to read it again this summmer, but I lent it to a friend who isn't finished with it yet. Have you read Three Cups of Tea? In light of the work you're doing this year, I think you would really enjoy it. Let me know. I'd love to send it to you if you're interested. Have fun at camp! Maria
